This permanent casual Pharmacist, KidCare position supports CHEO's pediatric health system. You will supervise pharmacy assistants and technicians, provide drug information, and maintain clinical expertise in at least one pharmacy practice area. The role includes evening and weekend coverage, training, quality assurance, and medication safety responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Supervise dispensing, sterile manufacturing, bulk manufacturing, and calculations
- Provide drug information to healthcare teams and patients
- Support training, orientation, and pharmacy student preceptorship
- Participate in quality assurance and medication incident reporting
Requirements:
- Pharmacy degree from a recognized university
- Licensed or eligible for Ontario pharmacy licensure
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Injection Training
- Two years' registered pharmacist experience preferred
