Support bird care and vaccine production at Ceva Animal Health in Guelph, maintaining animal facilities and production standards. This six-month contract runs Monday through Friday.
As a Bird Care Technician, you will clean production and animal facilities, care for birds, and assist with vaccine production. The work follows approved Outlines of Production, Special Outlines, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies. You will also support Eimeria production in the laboratory according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities
- Feed, water, and maintain birds and bird rooms
- Help inoculate birds and produce Eimeria species
- Control room temperature, humidity, and vent filters
- Complete inventories, records, and cleaning logbooks
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and bird care
- Knowledge of documentation and record keeping
- Ability to operate technical machinery and computerized equipment
- Passion for farming and working with animals
