Deliver outpatient gastroenterology nursing care onsite at Arnot Health, using patient assessment, triage, education, and care coordination skills. Work five eight-hour day shifts.
As an Outpatient Gastroenterology Registered Nurse, you provide comprehensive clinical care in a physician office setting. You address physical, behavioral, and cognitive needs while coordinating individualized care plans. The position includes patient education, clinical procedures, electronic medical record documentation, and follow-up coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and provide ongoing outpatient patient care
- Coordinate individualized plans with providers and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and procedures
- Administer medications, immunizations, specimens, and point-of-care testing
- Coordinate referrals, testing, surgeries, and prior authorizations
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved registered nurse program
- Current New York State registered nurse licensure
- Basic Life Support certification within ninety days of hire
- Previous gastroenterology experience preferred
- Ability to stand frequently and perform lifting, reaching, and stooping
