Lead cyber security operations through EDR, threat hunting, and SIEM expertise at Cenovus, supporting teams across the organization. This senior technical resource provides expert-level leadership and support across security operations, detection, and risk reduction initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operation, the Cyber Security Specialist strengthens cybersecurity controls and processes. The work spans vulnerability management, firewall security, endpoint and server protection, incident response, and risk assessments. You will collaborate with Information Technology teams, stakeholders, vendors, and external partners. Key Responsibilities:
Identify, reduce, and mitigate cyber risk across the organization Enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities Support vulnerability management programs and security initiatives Communicate technical risks and recommendations to varied audiences Advance Cyber Security Operations objectives and processes Requirements:
Minimum 12 years of cybersecurity experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management Expertise with EDR, SIEM platforms, and threat hunting Experience managing firewalls and hardening servers Legally authorized to work in Canada Apply senior cyber security operations expertise across EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, and risk reduction at Cenovus.
