To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for Senior Web Developers to join our development team. At Cellbie, you will play a critical role in building core parts of the marketplace offering, infrastructure, and features driving transparency and fairness in a rapidly evolving market. You’ll have the opportunity to work across impactful front-end and back-end projects, contributing to scaling a $100M+ revenue business.

Cellbie’s engineering team has the freedom to innovate and uncover breakthroughs—and, in turn, influence our product roadmap. The complexity of our technical challenges will grow rapidly as we scale our interfaces and infrastructure, and address new customer opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and influence the technical roadmap.
• Design and build the next generation of Cellbie products.
• Ensure platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible.
• Champion operational excellence through robust monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Use AI as a force multiplier (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot).

Your Qualifications and Superpowers

• Display excellent software engineering fundamentals, including an understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Are ready to tackle infrastructure challenges when needed.
• Know modern web client development techniques and tools.
• Have experience building, automating, deploying, and debugging production systems.
• Have shown the ability to lead or take ownership of code.
• Demonstrate perseverance when challenged with tough technical issues.
• Recognize the importance of the end-user experience (UX) and strive to ensure high quality.
• Have a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manage tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyze and execute work efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with small cross-functional teams.
• Thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments and have an interest in acquiring domain knowledge in the mobile circular economy.

The Perks

The target compensation for this role features a competitive base salary of CAD $130,000 – $160,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a performance-driven bonus structure.
