Bookkeeper (Day-to-Day Accounting) in Winnipeg

CDC Computers is a locally owned Technology Sales, Service, Installation and Training company that has served Winnipeg for over 40 years. We are looking for a reliable Bookkeeper who will also act as our primary cashier and provide light front-line support. We operate Monday thru Friday from 9am til 6pm.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and the daily till.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Match vendor bills and customer payments.
• Prepare basic GST/PST support and simple monthly reports.
• Act as the primary cashier: process cash, card, e-transfer, and other payments accurately.
• Ensure every order or ticket is complete and properly authorized before collecting payment.
• Assist with inbound phone calls—answer, gather basic information, and transfer to the correct department (service, sales, or management).
• Complete end-of-day cash-out and reconcile the till to daily sales records.
• Keep clear, organized records that link payments to tickets or invoices.
• Support the GM with routine accounting questions.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with small-business accounting software (Sage50).
• Comfortable handling cash and card payments accurately.
• Clear phone manner and ability to transfer calls appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Able to work independently and manage both bookkeeping and cashier duties.
• Winnipeg-based.
• Native-level English (spoken and written) required. Handwriting and typed notes must be clear and legible.
