Carey is seeking an experienced Controller to ensure the accuracy of all financial operations across its College, Student Residences, and Carey Centre. This hands-on position demands strong skills in accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. You'll collaborate closely with various stakeholders to enhance financial processes and support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle accounting operations across all business units
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closes
- Lead the annual financial audit process and charity filings
- Support financial systems modernization and automation efforts
- Maintain compliance with statutory remittances and charity requirements
Requirements:
- CPA designation or near completion preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll and tax regulations
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems
- Proven ability in fast-paced startup environments
