This Coherent Optical Systems Engineer role spans transceiver design, development, characterization, and optimization. You will work with early-stage PIC, DSP, and analog ASIC hardware. The position requires optical communications, signal processing, and system-level engineering expertise. Key Responsibilities:
Perform digital-optical integration of coherent optical transceivers Develop calibration and control algorithms Characterize SNR, OSNR tolerance, sensitivity, and metrics Validate analog, control, optical, and DSP components Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and optimization Requirements:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline Experience with optical communications, photonics, or systems engineering Understanding of coherent systems, QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM High-speed optical and electrical test equipment experience MATLAB, Python, VB.NET, C, or similar programming experience Apply coherent systems expertise, calibration, characterization, and programming skills to optimize advanced optical transceiver performance.
