Support seniors at Barnswallow Place Community in Elmira as a part-time Personal Support Worker providing daily living assistance and resident care.
Reporting to an Associate Director of Care, you will work within the Long Term Care team at Sienna Senior Living. Build relationships with residents and families while supporting individual plans of care, resident wellbeing, communication, and participation in programs. This on-site position is temporary, part-time, and scheduled for two day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, oral, and dental support
- Maintain access to mobility and assistive devices
- Encourage participation in individual and group programs
- Administer prescribed medication after required training and supervision
Requirements:
- Complete an approved Personal Support Worker program
- Internationally Educated Nurses may hold a Nursing degree
- Provide bedside care and simple treatment procedures
- Exercise tact and diplomacy with seniors and families
- Pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and meet Canadian work eligibility
