Contract (2 months 6 days) petrel oil & gas application support
Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Technical Application Support Analyst to support a portfolio of subsurface and reservoir engineering applications within an upstream Oil & Gas environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Schlumberger applications, particularly Petrel and related modules, along with strong application support, troubleshooting, user support, and environment administration experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for petro-technical applications.
- Troubleshoot application, performance, access, and integration issues.
- Support application installations, upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Manage user provisioning, licensing, and access requests.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex incidents.
- Perform incident, request, and problem management activities.
- Maintain application documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Support business users across geoscience, drilling, and reservoir engineering functions.
- Ensure application availability, stability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of application support experience.
- Experience supporting upstream Oil & Gas applications.
- Strong understanding of subsurface, geoscience, reservoir engineering, or drilling workflows.
- Experience supporting production application environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
Required Technical Skills
- Primary Requirement: Petrel, Eclipse, Intersect, GeoX, Petromod, Blueback, C-Core
- Additional Experience Desired: Petroleum Experts (Petex), Peloton, WellView / SiteView, RokDoc, Geolog, HampsonRussell Suite, AspenTech, Paleoscan, Blue Marble, PPDM, AGR Infrastructure
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $44.85/hour - $70.07/hour. Our offered benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
