Prepare financial statements and reconciliations as an Arena Accountant working full-time in office, supporting Controller review and reporting.
Reporting to the Controller, this Accountant supports monthly financial statements, annual budgeting, forecasting, and related accounting duties. The work includes Excel, accounting systems, intercompany reconciliations, tax filings, and cash reporting across Canucks Sports & Entertainment entities. You will also support audits and financial matters for group companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheet working papers
- Reconcile bank, petty cash, credit cards, and intercompany accounts
- Prepare GST, PST, and TransLink Parking Tax filings
- Record Ticketmaster deposits by event and ticket fee component
- Distribute weekly cash reporting and maintain labour tracking reports
Requirements:
- Two or more years of general accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting or Business
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Word, email, and accounting systems knowledge
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in data entry
- Availability for evenings and weekends when required
