Lead maintenance planning at Canfor’s Elko sawmill in British Columbia, applying mechanical problem-solving and people leadership to complex operations. Safety remains your foremost accountability. As Maintenance Planner Supervisor, you will direct teams while executing maintenance programs and supporting operational success. The work combines preventative maintenance planning, project coordination, communication, and organizational discipline. You will balance production, maintenance, and team needs within a technically complex sawmill environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and support reports while fostering effective employee relationships
- Supervise safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement
- Ensure Canfor Operating System abnormality response requirements are followed
- Develop and follow preventative maintenance programs within budget targets
- Coordinate crews and implement daily, weekly, and project work lists
Requirements:
- Substantial maintenance planning and scheduling experience across multiple trades
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of electronic-based maintenance programs considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills in changing business conditions
- Interprovincial Trade Qualification considered an asset
