Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Automotive Maintenance, Care & Accessories, the Category Business Manager delivers financial and strategic plans. You will translate customer insights and market trends into category strategies while managing assortment, pricing, promotion, and vendor priorities. The role covers national brands, exclusive brands, and private label.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own sales, shipments, margin, and inventory-turn financial plans
- Develop three-year strategies aligned with CTR's automotive vision
- Lead assortment architecture, lifecycle management, and innovation pipelines
- Execute pricing and promotional strategies balancing competitiveness and margin
- Build vendor partnerships through negotiations and joint business planning
Requirements:
- Five years of category management or relevant cross-functional experience
- Business planning expertise supporting financial and operational targets
- Knowledge of retail marketing, consumer trends, and inventory management
- Strong people management, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience; travel two to four weeks annually
