Lead crude oil marketing accounting in Calgary with monthly analysis, financial close oversight, and guidance for six direct reports. Support accurate reporting. Canadian Natural seeks a Supervisor, Marketing Accounting, overseeing accounting for light, medium, heavy, thermal, and oil sands transactions. You will develop recommendations on complex accounting concepts, prepare timely management and government information, and interact regularly with Senior Management. The work requires coordination across Marketing, Treasury, Tax, and accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly netback prices, revenue, costs, volumetrics, and inventory
- Oversee financial close, journal entries, intercompany postings, and reporting
- Support third-party cash settlement for Marketing transactions
- Coordinate accounting accuracy across Marketing and related functions
- Review controls and support walkthroughs, testing, and projects
Requirements:
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to resolve complex accounting concepts effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Excel and EnterpriseOne proficiency
