Maintain and improve production equipment for Canadian Bank Note Company in Ottawa, using maintenance, automation, and troubleshooting skills. This permanent role is fully on-site. CBN is hiring a Production Technician for a technology-driven facility producing secure document and enterprise system solutions. The position focuses on equipment reliability, preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrations, inspections, and process improvement. You will document work, maintain troubleshooting guides, and collaborate with production, quality, engineering, IS, and vendors to resolve equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment
- Conduct calibrations, inspections, and equipment checks
- Improve reliability, workflows, tooling, and maintenance methods
- Maintain accurate records and technical troubleshooting documentation
- Partner with teams and vendors to resolve equipment issues
Requirements:
- Three to five years in technical or maintenance manufacturing work
- Experience maintaining, automating, or commissioning production equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical or electromechanical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of computer interfaces, networking, or Microsoft O365
- Fluent English and legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Bring manufacturing maintenance experience, equipment reliability knowledge, and technical documentation skills to CBN's Ottawa production environment.
