Lead Azure SQL, Python, and dbt data engineering for CATC’s enterprise platform. This full-time permanent role supports reliable business data across Canada. As Manager, Data Engineering & Platforms, you will lead CATC’s data platform under the Director of Information Technology. You will manage integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, and warehouse architecture. Your work supports Finance, FP&A, Power BI developers, business analysts, and operational leaders with timely, structured data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own Python, SQL, dbt pipelines, integrations, APIs, and data connections
- Maintain CATC’s Azure SQL data warehouse and scalable data models
- Monitor interfaces for failures, latency, completeness, and related issues
- Troubleshoot data-processing problems and perform root-cause analysis
- Establish standards for architecture, documentation, testing, and deployment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Approximately 5–8+ years in data engineering or related roles
- Strong production experience with Python, SQL, and relational databases
- Experience developing and troubleshooting dbt models and workflows
- Experience with Azure SQL and enterprise data warehouses
- Bring hands-on leadership across Python, SQL, dbt, Azure SQL, integrations, and data architecture to CATC’s enterprise platform.
