This temporary, on-call Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier assignment serves various communities. You will sort, collect, and deliver mail while learning local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles. The position also involves processing Canada Post products and services, securing items, and carrying packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver mail safely and on schedule to various communities
- Maintain knowledge of local roads and delivery receptacles
- Process Change of Address and Damaged Mail items
- Keep Canada Post identification visible during customer deliveries
- Carry mail items weighing up to 50 pounds
Requirements:
- Permanent provincial driver's licence, Class 5 or G
- Satisfactory driving record and required driver's abstract
- Delivery experience using a motor vehicle
- Ability to drive through all weather and traffic conditions
- Vehicle meeting Canada Post cargo and equipment requirements
