Lead enterprise risk oversight and strategic advice at CMHC from Ottawa, Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver. Limited travel supports this temporary assignment. As Advisor, Initiatives, you will support CMHC’s Enterprise Risk and Organizational Resiliency team through December 2027. Apply enterprise risk management, internal controls, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication to strengthen organizational decision-making. Your work will address emerging risks, control effectiveness, and alignment with CMHC’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent risk oversight and strategic advice to senior management
- Assess developments and prepare risk insights, recommendations, and briefing materials
- Lead Internal Control Framework governance, execution, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate assessments, testing, remediation tracking, and management reporting
- Facilitate governance discussions and align stakeholders on risk priorities
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in business, public administration, finance, or related field
- At least ten years’ relevant enterprise risk or internal controls experience
- Knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and CMHC-related environments
- Experience building strategic partnerships and supporting significant change
- Strong communication, presentation, analysis, judgment, and time management skills
- Bring enterprise risk, internal controls, and stakeholder leadership expertise to CMHC’s Advisor, Initiatives assignment across Canada.
