Lead Canadian business continuity risk management oversight at Canada Life, using operational resilience expertise and independent risk judgement. This is a permanent full-time leadership role. As Director, Business Continuity Risk Management, you will support ongoing maturity of Canada Life’s Canadian BCRM program. You will oversee Emergency Response, Incident and Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Technology Resiliency pillars. The role partners with first and second line stakeholders, aligns practices with enterprise policies and regulatory expectations, and provides risk insights to senior management and committees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead second line BCRM oversight across Canadian business units
- Define stakeholder engagement models and strategic resilience priorities
- Advise on disruption risks, RCSAs, scenarios, and issues management
- Develop teams and strengthen frameworks, reporting, and oversight
- Represent second line oversight during audits and examinations
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in relevant disciplines
- Seven years’ regulated-environment operational risk management experience
- Five years’ leadership experience managing teams
- Emergency response, crisis management, continuity, and disaster recovery experience
- Strong judgement, communication, organization, and stakeholder influence skills
