AZ Truck Driver in Mississauga

Position Summary

Responsible for transporting a variety of cargo on flatbed trailers while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly.

Your role includes conducting pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes.

What you will do

• Operate vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
• Manage appropriate cargo documentation and provide necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.
• Strap off loads in all weather conditions.
• Maintain constant communication with the customer.
• Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• What you’ll bring
• Valid Class 1/AZ License is required.
• Clean commercial driving abstract and CVOR (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events).
• 2‑3 years of AZ driving experience.
• Must have minimum 6 months of flatbed experience.
• Moffett experience will be an asset.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable with smartphone technology.
• Reliable, flexible, punctual, and safe driving behaviors.
• Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations.
• Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada.
