Work part time at UPS in Ottawa as a Warehouse Local Sorter, loading packages and scanning shipments during evening shifts.
This permanent, hourly warehouse position supports UPS operations at 2281 Stevenage Drive. Local Sorters load, unload, sort, and scan packages throughout the center. No experience is necessary, and full training is provided. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, with shifts starting as early as 4:00 p.m. and ending as late as 9:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload packages in the center
- Sort packages according to routing information
- Scan packages during warehouse operations
- Work with automated conveyor belts and manual rollers
- Recognize postal codes, routing charts, and maps
Requirements:
- Ability to follow set procedures consistently
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
- Comfort working inside trailers and delivery trucks
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Availability Monday through Friday, five days weekly
