Lead industrial automation control systems in St. Thomas, Ontario, using PLC programming and troubleshooting expertise. This is a full-time, on-site position.
JLL seeks an experienced Automation Manager to support industrial processes and warehouse distribution equipment. You will improve conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print-and-apply systems, and SCADA devices. The work requires engineering principles, programming, control technologies, and safety-focused execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as site technical expert for automation control systems
- Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems
- Maintain industrial networks, controllers, and automation software
- Monitor MHE metrics and lead troubleshooting efforts
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
Requirements:
- At least two years of hands-on PLC automation experience
- Develop and troubleshoot Ladder Logic and structured text
- Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys systems
- Ability to lead, train, and mentor automation engineers
- Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays
