Reporting to the Strategic Supply Manager, you will lead purchasing for safety and non-safety systems, specialized tooling, and process plant equipment. The work spans vendor selection, contract administration, supplier development, and procurement compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily purchasing, vendor selection, quote evaluation, and technical exception resolution Release high-value purchase orders and negotiate long-term supplier agreements Develop sourcing strategies and qualify suppliers against cost, quality, schedule, and risk Administer contracts, corrective actions, warranty claims, and commercial discrepancies Guide team operations, training, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of procurement leadership experience Minimum 5 years of experience working in the nuclear field Engineering or technology degree, or five years’ related technical experience Experience purchasing to nuclear standards and codes Strong negotiation, communication, supplier development, and team leadership skills Apply nuclear procurement leadership, supplier strategy, and technical purchasing knowledge to support BWXT NEC operations in Peterborough.
