Our client is a growing commercial development and construction company headquartered in Calgary, delivering projects across Canada. They are looking for an Accountant to own the full transaction cycle. Reporting to the Controller, you will code supplier and subcontractor invoices to job and cost code, match them to purchase orders and subcontracts, and prepare payment runs. You will confirm WCB clearance, insurance, and statutory declarations before payment, administer holdbacks, and track prompt payment deadlines. On the receivables side, you will prepare progress invoices and draw packages and follow through on collections. Month-end accruals, reconciliations, and GST and PST returns round out the role.

To succeed, you are accurate, organized, and persistent, take ownership of your work, and communicate clearly with the office, the field, and management.

To qualify, you have three or more years of full-cycle accounting experience in construction, engineering, or another project-based business, including job costing, holdbacks, and progress billing.
