Lead accounting operations and finance modernization at Brookfield Renewable North America, with on-site presence central to collaboration and performance. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Accounting Operations leads controllership across BRNA’s complex North American platform. The role oversees consolidations, financial close, settlements, accounts payable, lender reporting, and financial governance while strengthening SOX controls and reporting quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee controllership, consolidations, close, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet governance
- Set financial governance strategy and advise executive leadership
- Lead quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and U.S. GAAP
- Own SOX and ICFR risk assessment, testing, and remediation
- Drive finance systems modernization, automation, and AI adoption
Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Active CPA designation or equivalent with public-company experience
- Deep expertise in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, consolidations, and technical accounting
- Experience leading finance transformation or enterprise system implementations
- Exceptional judgment, executive presence, and communication skills
- Bring senior controllership leadership, SOX expertise, and finance transformation experience to Brookfield Renewable North America’s enterprise platform.
