Lead accounting transformation at Brookfield Renewable North America through controllership expertise, SOX governance, and finance systems modernization. This senior role requires on-site presence.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Accounting Operations oversees controllership, consolidations, settlements, accounts payable, lender reporting, and financial governance. The leader sets the target operating model, strengthens internal controls, and delivers predictable financial reporting. Success requires expertise in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, enterprise close, and finance transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee controllership, consolidations, close, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet governance
- Accelerate close cycles and reduce manual intervention
- Lead ERP, consolidation, reporting, and workflow system modernization
- Drive automation, analytics, and AI adoption across finance processes
- Own SOX and ICFR risk assessment, testing, and remediation
Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Active CPA designation or equivalent with public-company experience
- Deep expertise in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, close, and consolidations
- Experience leading major finance transformation or ERP implementations
- Exceptional judgment, executive presence, and communication skills
