Design ultra-high-performance datacenter software in person at Broadcom’s Ottawa March Road location, using C++ or C and low-level systems expertise. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will deliver software and firmware for complex multi-processor architectures. You will work in a small team, owning designs across embedded Linux, Yocto, OpenBMC, ZephyrOS, microcode, drivers, and control software. The position supports products throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop datacenter-scale software and firmware
- Own designs from development through product sustainability
- Develop drivers, microcode, firmware, and control software
- Support customer trials and address field issues
- Drive validation and automation with interdisciplinary teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and twelve-plus years’ related experience
- Develop software in C++ or C for multiprocessor architectures
- Experience with Linux, Yocto, OpenBMC, or ZephyrOS
- Expertise in bring-up, drivers, and low-level silicon debugging
- Knowledge of interfaces, Redfish, DMTF standards, and secure boot
- Apply principal-level C++ or C expertise to Broadcom datacenter systems, firmware, validation, and complete product lifecycle ownership.
