Brightshores seeks a full-time, temporary Ward Clerk reporting to the Cancer Centre Manager. You will coordinate assigned duties within an interdisciplinary care setting, using registration, scheduling, reports, order entry, and administrative skills. The assignment is expected to end November 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate efficient and safe patient care flow
- Complete assigned duties accurately and promptly
- Work collaboratively with all Health Care Team members
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Support patient safety through departmental responsibilities
Requirements:
- Secondary diploma with administrative experience or business administration diploma
- Proven Cerner experience in registration, scheduling, reports, and order entry
- Outpatient clinic experience and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Medical terminology knowledge and typing speed of 30 words per minute
- Problem solving, organization, communication, adaptability, and self direction
