We are currently seeking a Janitor to join our team in Vancouver, BC.
The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial or custodial work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our client's facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
- Cut grass and tend grounds and plants
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
- May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
