Diagnose and repair John Deere agricultural equipment as a Field Heavy Equipment Technician serving customers from Brandt's Ponoka branch. Travel throughout Alberta communities for onsite service.
This full-time Agriculture Division position supports tractors, hay tools, and other agricultural and turf implements. You will work across engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, guidance, and precision agriculture systems. The role suits certified or registered apprentice technicians with equipment diagnosis experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment systems
- Travel to customer sites for field diagnosis and repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and equipment adjustments
- Recondition pre-owned agricultural equipment
- Record field reports, warranty invoicing, and service records
Requirements:
- Heavy Equipment or Agriculture Equipment Technician certification is an asset
- Registered apprenticeship under the applicable trade considered
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Class 5 Driver's Licence and basic computer skills
