Executive Vice President (EVP) – Tender Retail Tender Retail is looking for an Executive Vice President (EVP) to lead the business unit and own its results. Our business covers payment at the point of sale and electronic payment through transaction-processing infrastructure. Our team is the largest in Canada, with experts who understand every technical, operational and business facet of payment systems, backed by a solid mastery of international standards and best practices. Reporting to a Group Leader within Harris, the EVP is accountable for the unit’s strategy, profitability and growth across all functional areas: sales, support, product development and professional services. This is a hands‑on, full‑P&L role for a seasoned business leader who is, above all, a leader of people and a trusted partner for our customers.
What will your impact be?
Own the P&L. Be accountable for net revenue, margin, EBITA and cash flow, with clear annual targets, sound financial controls and disciplined use of financial resources.
Set and execute strategy. Define the business unit’s vision, market positioning and multi‑year roadmap in payments and point of sale, and, with the Group’s leadership, establish long‑term technology strategies across all product lines.
Drive growth. Lead sales and account management to expand the customer base, grow recurring revenue and strengthen retention.
Guide product and technology. Partner with product and technical leaders to prioritize the roadmap, ensure quality and modernize our solutions, including cloud and e‑commerce offerings.
Deliver an outstanding customer experience. Oversee professional services, customer support and implementation teams so clients are well served and successful.
Lead and develop people. Compassionately steer and inspire the executive team, develop new and existing leaders, and build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Drive operational excellence. Adapt and implement operational excellence practices to continuously improve the business.
Report with rigour. Provide monthly business updates to senior executives and detailed quarterly briefings on results and plans.
Collaborate across Harris. Share best practices with other business units, contribute to the Harris community and take part in portfolio and acquisition integration when relevant.
What we are looking for
10+ years in progressive senior leadership roles, including full P&L responsibility for a business unit or division in software, SaaS, payments or retail technology.
Strong knowledge of the payment industry, point‑of‑sale and related solutions.
Proven results in growing revenue and profitability, with a strong command of financial metrics and recurring‑revenue models, and diligence in how financial resources are spent.
Experience managing a multi‑functional organization with staff in multiple geographies.
Strong leadership: able to inspire, mentor and hold leaders accountable; passionate about success and committed to leading by example.
Excellent oral and written communication and decision‑making skills.
Strategic and operational balance: comfortable setting direction and getting into the details when needed.
Bilingual in French and English.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or a related field (MBA an asset).
What we offer A competitive base salary and performance‑based variable compensation, a key leadership role within the Harris family of software businesses, and the autonomy to run and grow a business unit. You will also benefit from:
