You will own the vision, strategy, roadmap, delivery, and adoption of high-value AI and data products, working closely with front-office users, senior leaders, engineers, data scientists, UX, risk, and compliance partners.

What will you do?

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, investment priorities, and business outcomes for one or more AI-enabled products or capabilities supporting Capital Markets users and workflows.
  • Develop a deep understanding of front-office and business needs; translate strategic pain points into clear product opportunities.
  • Lead product discovery, experimentation, and investment decisions, including prototypes, proofs of concept, and minimum viable products, to validate assumptions before scaling.
  • Align senior business, technology, data, and control-function stakeholders around product priorities, trade-offs, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Establish product goals and success measures, monitor adoption and performance, and use quantitative and qualitative insights to improve products and demonstrate business impact.
  • Present product recommendations, performance, risks, and strategic choices to senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Apply Responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, model risk, and regulatory considerations throughout the product lifecycle in partnership with control functions.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an advanced degree or relevant professional designation is an asset.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in product management, strategy, digital transformation, or technology delivery, ideally within Capital Markets or financial services; familiarity with AI and data product management is an asset.
  • Ability to understand complex Capital Markets workflows and translate between business users and technical teams; direct experience with sales, trading, research, banking, or client‑coverage workflows is an asset.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with AI and LLM‑enabled products, including retrieval‑augmented generation, evaluation, and production deployment considerations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical judgment, structured problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to develop informed perspectives on the evolving AI landscape, including emerging technologies, industry trends, and market practices, and translate relevant developments into strategic implications and opportunities for BMO Capital Markets.

Salary: $120,000-$150,000 CAD (subject to negotiation and subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements).
