The Real Estate Law Clerk manages transactions from start to finish, including title searches, document preparation, client communication, registrations, and closing procedures. This position requires analytical reasoning, attention to detail, organizational strength, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. You will coordinate with clients, realtors, financial institutions, and legal professionals while meeting critical deadlines and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage residential and commercial transactions from intake through final closing
- Conduct title searches using Teraview and prepare reports on title
- Prepare agreements, transfers, mortgages, adjustments, and trust ledgers
- Coordinate details with clients, realtors, lenders, and legal professionals
- Monitor deadlines, registrations, follow-up, file closing, and reporting
Requirements:
- Three or more years in Ontario real estate and corporate transactions
- Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent legal education
- Required Teraview experience; Dye Durham familiarity highly preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
