We are currently seeking an
Intermediate Electrical Designer/ Drafter to join our team.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design on small to medium-sized oil and gas projects for all electrical, controls and instrumentation drawings.
- Maintain an organized filing system within each project, ensuring all documentation and revision control is accurate.
- Manage the requirements of multiple projects simultaneously, including time management and deliverable prioritization.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to develop designs and complete electrical drawing packages within project scope, schedule and budget.
- Check drawings to ensure they are complete and compliant with standards and specifications.
- Make revisions and improvements to designs/drawings in accordance with changing project demands while ensuring changes are carried out across the entire design.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ years’ experience in electrical & instrumentation design (oil & gas experience required)
- Familiar with CEC, NFPA, API codes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- 3D modelling skills would be considered an asset.
- Excellent English language reading and writing skills.
- Personable and able to work with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Ability to adjust to change and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
