As an experienced Underground Mainline Excavator Operator, you will install water, storm, and sanitary systems. The work requires precision, efficient excavation, and strong grade awareness. You will coordinate with pipe layers, grade personnel, and supervision to deliver installations safely and to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators for water, storm, and sanitary installation
- Excavate trenches using laser or GPS guidance
- Coordinate accurate installation with pipe layers and grade crews
- Perform safe trenching, sloping, and shoring
- Complete inspections, maintenance, backfill, and site cleanup
Requirements:
- Three-plus years operating excavators in underground civil construction
- Experience installing water, storm, and sanitary mains
- Ability to read grades, drawings, and stakes
- Experience with laser or GPS machine control
- Valid Class 5 driver's license minimum
