The Opportunity

Bison Fire Protection is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated

Estimator to join our growing team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our service operations by reviewing field reports, preparing professional customer quotations, and accurately pricing fire protection system repairs and deficiency corrections.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technical information, has strong organizational skills, and takes pride in delivering accurate, customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review and convert field service reports into customer-ready documentation.
• Communicate with field technicians to verify information and ensure report accuracy.
• Prepare detailed quotations for repair work and deficiency corrections.
• Apply labour and material pricing to fire protection equipment repairs and service recommendations.
• Present technical information in a clear and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quotations and estimates.
• Support service operations through various administrative duties as required.
• Prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with internal team members to deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Required
• General knowledge of estimating, quoting, and quotation preparation.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly and simply.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Preferred Assets
• Experience within the fire protection, construction, mechanical, electrical, or related service industry.
• General knowledge of fire alarm, fire sprinkler, special hazard suppression, or portable fire protection systems.
• Previous experience preparing service or repair quotations.
