Shape alternative delivery projects at Binnie’s Burnaby office through conceptual highway design, detailed engineering, and technical leadership. Work full-time with experienced Engineers and Project Managers. This Civil Design Engineer role supports Binnie’s Alternative Design Services Division and recognized transportation assignments. You will act as Engineer of Record while developing designs, reviewing technical deliverables, and coordinating project documentation. The work includes multidisciplinary collaboration, client communication, contract preparation, calculations, and guidance for technical staff. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver alternative design engineering projects as Engineer of Record Develop highway designs from concepts through detailed documentation Perform peer reviews of technical deliverables and engineering documents Communicate with clients and external project stakeholders Train and mentor EITs and Co-Op Students Requirements:
Seven or more years in a transportation engineering environment EGBC registration as a Professional Engineer Experience leading transportation projects involving multiple disciplines Alternative Design Assignment experience considered a strong asset Valid British Columbia driver’s licence and personal vehicle preferred Bring alternative design experience, highway engineering capability, and dependable technical judgment to Binnie’s Burnaby-based team.
