Role Description
The Insurance Broker is a full-time, hybrid role based in Oakville, ON, with flexibility for some work from home.
The broker will consult with clients to assess their insurance needs, recommend appropriate coverage options, and prepare customized insurance proposals.
Day-to-day responsibilities include quoting, binding, and servicing home, auto, business, and specialty policies, as well as processing policy changes, renewals, and claims inquiries.
The role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurance partners, providing timely and accurate information, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and brokerage standards.
The Insurance Broker will also identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products to support client financial security and drive business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Brokerage operations and general Insurance products across personal and commercial lines.
- Understanding of Finance concepts relevant to insurance, risk management, and client financial protection.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and handle inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Familiarity with Retirement Planning principles and insurance-based solutions that support long-term financial goals.
- Provincial insurance broker license (RIBO or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
- Proficiency with insurance rating systems, CRM tools, and standard office software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client files and priorities.
- Previous experience in an insurance brokerage or related financial services environment is an asset.
