Install telecom equipment for Beanfield across technical facilities, using fibre optic cabling, AC/DC power, and structured troubleshooting practices. Work spans active network spaces.
As a Telecommunications Equipment Installer, you will maintain equipment at data centres, telephone switch centres, central office wire centres, and enterprise spaces. The work covers facility hardware, cabling, power systems, testing, documentation, and environmental controls. You will integrate hardware into live production environments while following engineering drawings, specifications, and Methods of Procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, modify, and decommission telecom facility equipment
- Route, terminate, measure, and label fibre and power cables
- Test and turn up hardware in production environments
- Maintain -48V DC plants, batteries, UPS units, and generators
- Document operational activities, inspections, and project status
Requirements:
- Three years of central office installation experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Experience with fibre optic and AC/DC installation practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures
- Valid driver's licence and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
