As a Senior Insolvency Analyst supporting BDO's Tax Center of Excellence, you will process insolvency-related filings and requests. The work involves T1 returns, tax refunds, tax offsets, GST/HST returns, and CRA processes. You will maintain accurate estate records while communicating with internal teams and CRA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-bankruptcy, post-bankruptcy, and prior-year income tax returns
- Manage PDS Tax inbox requests using first-in, first-out processing
- Prioritize urgent tax inquiries and seasonal workloads appropriately
- Investigate held refunds and respond to CRA compliance reviews
- Review Notices of Assessment, tax slips, and supporting documents
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of tax preparation experience
- Experience with self-employed returns and CRA T1 processes
- Knowledge of refunds, offsets, and GST/HST returns
- Working knowledge of iFirm is an asset
- Accuracy, flexibility, prioritization, and client service commitment
