Bayshore Medical Personnel seeks a Personal Support Worker for a healthcare clinic serving clients with various risk levels. The Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule includes three hours per shift. Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Practice, you will support detainees and communicate with medical resources, CBSA officers, or contracted security resources under established care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist detainees with feeding, transfers, bathing, hygiene, and toileting
- Provide delegated care safely within provincial legislation
- Monitor wellbeing and report behavioral, physical, or cognitive changes
- Complete reports, system updates, and progress notes
- Provide mobility, social, and administrative support
Requirements:
- PSW certificate from a recognized college
- At least one year of recent PSW experience
- Valid Reliability Status security clearance
- Vulnerable Sector Check completed within one year
- WHMIS certification completed within two years
