Bring general ledger and cash flow expertise to Baycrest Corporate Centre for Geriatric Care in a full-time hybrid Financial Accountant position. Support accurate financial operations across Baycrest's care and research system.
Reporting to the Director, Financial Controllership and Planning, this Financial Accountant records transactions and completes approved transfers. The role supports budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, accounts receivable, and general accounting. It also reviews intercompany transactions and prepares information for internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and adjusting SmartStream journal entries
- Track and record bank activities across Centre accounts
- Reconcile Centre and entity bank accounts
- Prepare daily cash flow forecasts for management
- Maintain SmartStream general ledger and cost center structures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred
- Enrolled in or completed CPA or similar designation
- Four to five years' related large nonprofit experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and electronic data management experience
- Strong general accounting and financial analysis skills
