Summary: Assures departmental operations/functions and assists with hospital regulatory compliance with the credentialing and re-credentialing processes requiring Medical Staff committee approval. Assists with monitoring practitioner membership and privileging eligibility and maintains credentialing and other Medical Staff Office databases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience includes 3 years Medical Staff Office operations or 1 year credentialing/credentialing support or 2 years of Administrative Support.
Education:
- Required: High School or Equivalent;
- Preferred: Bachelors - Healthcare Administration; Or - Bachelors - Related Field.
Credentials:
- Nonessential: Provider Credentialing Specialist
- Nonessential: Credential equivalent experience
- Preferred: CPCS (Credentialing)
