Our subsidiary BAUER Foundations Canada represents BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH in Canada and is looking for a Senior Estimator for its locations in Burnaby / Vancouver, BC, or Oakville, ON, Canada, to generate project and business opportunities through customer contact in alignment with our business plans and growth strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze inquiry packages, communicate with Clients and understand their needs
- Assess alternate methods to provide cost and time savings to Clients
- Prepare and review technical tenders, bids, and tender documentation
- Interpret and respond to complex technical specifications
- Present design concepts to clients and other stakeholders
- Negotiate and communicate complex technical and commercial issues to a variety of audiences
- Identify and evaluate new markets and selling points through prospecting, web research, and networking online as well as by participating in industry events, professional groups, and networking associations
Your profile:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in ground engineering or special foundations
- Proven experience in proposal preparation and project engineering applications with successful outcomes
- Experience or qualifications in cost engineering or applications engineering are considered an asset, as well as site experience in ground engineering techniques
- Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of ground engineering and special foundation techniques
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with excellent prioritization and time management
- Fluency in English required; French proficiency is an asset
