Lead underground hard rock mining at Red Chris Mine with Barminco, using safety leadership and development supervision on a FIFO rotation. Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. seeks an Underground Shift Supervisor for northern British Columbia. Reporting to the Project Manager or designate, you will oversee personnel and daily mine activities. The work emphasizes planning, supervision, communication, quality, and Occupational Health and Safety Act compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise underground access decline development and daily crew activities
- Conduct pre-shift meetings covering safety and operational issues
- Train employees in hard rock mining best practices
- Coordinate equipment and activities with the mine plan
- Complete inspections, reports, audits, and incident investigations
Requirements:
- Previous development shift supervision in an underground hard rock mine
- Valid British Columbia ShiftBoss certification
- Valid First Aid and Transportation Endorsement certifications
- Mining instructions, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Ability to work two weeks onsite and two weeks off
