As a key member of the team at The Heights at Mount View, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating enjoyable and therapeutic recreation programs tailored to residents' needs. Your responsibilities will include planning engaging activities and ensuring a safe, supportive environment under the guidance of the Recreation Therapy Manager. You will also assist residents during meals and offer direction to volunteers, enhancing overall community spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and implement recreational health programs
- Assist residents with their meal times
- Provide leadership and assistance to volunteers
- Cultivate positive relationships with residents and family members
- Maintain safety and enjoyment standards during activities
Requirements:
- Must have completed Grade 12 education
- Recreation Therapy Aide Certification preferred
- Current Food Safe and First Aid certifications required
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills needed
