Lead electrical testing in Halifax with Babcock, using fault diagnosis and technical leadership across Victoria Class Submarine systems. This permanent position supports submarine readiness.
As a Senior Test Specialist, you will carry out testing, acceptance, and maintenance of VCS systems and equipment. You will coordinate multidisciplinary testing, resolve technical issues, and support commissioning activities. The work includes documentation, lockout/tagout procedures, and operational software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test, accept, and maintain Victoria Class Submarine systems
- Direct multidisciplinary teams during complex submarine testing
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Lead specialists and mentor technical team members
- Maintain test, work instruction, and LOTO documentation
Requirements:
- Eight or more years of related technical experience
- Post-secondary electrical or mechanical engineering education
- Eligibility for applicable AScT, CET, EIT, or P. Eng. recognition
- Electrical systems testing or commissioning experience considered an asset
- Eligibility for Canadian Secret and ITAR clearances
