Lead Agile delivery at Aviva Canada as a Scrum Master, using facilitation and technical acumen within a hybrid flexible work model.
This Scrum Master supports software or technology delivery teams in a complex organization. You will facilitate Scrum events, enable sprint planning, maintain Jira data, and guide continuous improvement. The work combines coaching, stakeholder management, risk visibility, dependency management, and disciplined delivery across agreed expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate focused, timeboxed Scrum events and backlog refinement
- Support Sprint Goals, capacity planning, estimation, and story slicing
- Monitor delivery metrics and communicate meaningful progress trends
- Remove impediments, manage dependencies, and accelerate material blockers
- Coach teams and Product Owners toward sustainable improvement
Requirements:
- Scrum Master certification such as PSM or CSM
- Experience supporting software or technology delivery teams
- Practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, planning, and flow
- Experience using Jira for backlogs, sprints, and reporting
- Insurance industry delivery experience required; Guidewire preferred
