Support students through admissions and registration as a hybrid Student Service Advisor at the University of Alberta's North Campus in Edmonton.
Reporting to the Student Service Centre Team Lead, you will advise current and prospective students, parents, alumni, and the public. Your guidance will cover policies, procedures, fees, financial aid, records, examinations, and convocation. You will interpret requirements, resolve complex questions, and connect people with campus services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed advice through in-person, email, chat, and telephone channels
- Interpret admission, registration, fee, records, and examination policies
- Conduct advising sessions on program, admission, and transfer requirements
- Resolve complex issues using professional judgment and campus knowledge
- Refer clients appropriately and explain subsequent processes
Requirements:
- Related post-secondary degree and two to three years' university services experience
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and detail-oriented communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Ability to support diverse individuals respectfully and effectively
- Proficiency with electronic records, databases, communication platforms, and learning systems
