This position guides tailings, water management, reclamation, and closure across the asset lifecycle. You will influence strategic decisions, provide technical governance, mentor professionals, and represent Imperial with regulators and industry organizations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead complex multidisciplinary planning, design, and execution activities Guide long-range tailings, water management, reclamation, and closure strategies Represent Imperial with regulators, agencies, and technical forums Champion emerging technologies, research, and innovative practices Review decisions, designs, standards, and governance frameworks Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geoscience Professional Engineer registration or Alberta registration eligibility 18+ years’ progressively responsible experience in related disciplines Expertise in tailings, water, reclamation, closure, or mining Open pit mining and regulatory agency experience Bring technical leadership, risk-informed judgment, and stakeholder communication to Imperial’s tailings and closure priorities in Edmonton.
